June 24, 1935
Owls SS Fouad Lefevre earned Player of the Week honors in Week 3 with a .500 batting average, 5 HR, and 9 RBI. He has a .429 average, second best in the UA so far. Redwood is in the midst of a tough race in Division C. The team leads the league in batting average, home runs, and runs scored.

Another rotator cuff injury has taken out a UA pitcher for the rest of the year. Brothers 25-year old lefty reliever David Mujer will miss the rest of the 1935 season, the team announced Monday. He joins Spiders journeyman RP Tanner Durakotos on the road to recovery from the same injury, also sustained in Week 2.
The Taawa Chargers and the Delle Stars shared the UA’s best record at 9-4 coming into Week 3. The Redwood Owls (8-5) and Wight Spiders (7-6) led the other two UA divisions as the week began.

Monday, 6/17/1935
- Rivals LHP Jackson Schmitt tossed 6.2 scoreless inings with just 3 hits allowed, 2 walks, and 5 Ks as Railey blanked Tiny Sea, 3-0.
- White Sox C Youcef Guillaume walked it off against Trail Blazers RHP Jim Loughran with a solo shot in the bottom of the 11th. White Sox LF Juan Tumaini went 3-for-5 with a 2-run HR in the win. Blazers CF Ignacio Duarteka struck out 5 times in the loss. Final (11): DEE 6, PRI 5
- Plains City starter Achille Roy threw 7.1 1-run innings with 3 hits allowed and racked up 10 Ks in the Reapers’ 7-2 home win over Taawa.
- Cherricaw 1B Pedro Kopano launched 2 HR for 3 RBI as the Herders beat the Brothers on the road, 8-6.
- Jaime Ruiz allowed just 2 hits over 5.2 scoreless innings with 8 Ks in Delle’s 6-3 win at Platte.
Tuesday, 6/18/1935
- Rivals 3B Hichem Colle hit HRs 7 and 8 of the year, but Railey lost to Tiny Sea, 6-2. Metros 1B Ambroise Forestier went 3-for-4 with 3 RBI in the win.
- Lia Kompos CF Ogg Do had all 6 RBI for the Miners, but Wight took the win at home, 9-6.
- 4-time UA MVP Mario Olivo left the game with an apparent leg injury after a pinch hit single in the 7th. The injury has been diagnosed as a moderate thigh bruise. He is expected to rest tomorrow but may be an option off the bench according to Stars manager Manny Mendozataka. The Stars won the game over the Bears in Platte, 5-2.
- Brothers starter Tony Lia Taawa threw 7.1 inning with just 4 hits and zero runs allowed, but the Herders would put up 5 runs in the top of the 12th to break the stalemate and win, 5-0.
- Owls LF Steve Thomas had 2 HR on a 3-for-5 day with 6 RBI and SS Fouad Lefevre went 2-for-4 with a HR and 3 total RBI as Redwood trounced Northsouth, 15-0. Owls pitching allowed just 4 hits in the shutout.
- Kings 2B Colin Holt hit a grand slam to help lift Lia Puedris to a 7-2 win against Roland. 1B Bach Foss tied a Kings record with 3 doubles in the win.
Wednesday, 6/19/1935
- Chargers RF Tony Katakien had a big day, going 3-for-5 with 5 RBI on 2 HR, including a grand slam in the 8th. However, the Reapers took the win at home, 6-5.
- Metros SS Lewis Barnett hit a 2-run blast in the top of the 11th, giving Tiny Sea a 4-2 road win over the Rivals.
- Still dealing with a painful knee bruise, Bears CF Myles Williams hit 2 HR for 5 total RBI as Platte beat Delle, 11-3.
- Redwood ace Will Shufflebottom pitched 6 1-hit innings with 3 Ks and a walk in the Owls’ 4-1 win over the Guardians.
Thursday, 6/20/1935
- Herders 1B Pedro Kopano went 2-for-4 with a 3-run shot and 4 total RBI as Cherricaw won at home over Wight, 7-4.
- Reapers RF Jose Gomez hit a grand slam as part of an 8-run Plains City 7th inning. The Reapers beat the Stars, 9-6. Delle Reliever Jose Luna left with a calf strain, which could affect his availability for the next 2-3 weeks.
- Blazers LF Bob Hove continues to lead the UA in HR. He added 2 more against the Miners to bring his season total to 11 as Prissley beat Lia Kompos, 8-7. Trail Blazers 2B Gerald Lewis went 3-for-5 with a HR and a double for 2 RBI in the win.
Friday, 6/21/1935
- 22-year old Stags RF Morad Goncalves crushed a 453-foot, 2-run blast in the bottom of the 10th inning to give Roland a 5-3 walk-off win against Northsouth.
- Bears LF Stan Davis went deep twice for 4 RBI to help Platte to a 7-5 win at Railey. Bears ace Jose Verdier struck out 9 over 8 innings for the win.
- Redwood SS Fouad Lefevre hit a pair of solo HRs, but that was all for the Owls, as Deerborn beat them, 5-2.
- Chargers 1B Jose Lia Tinta went 2-for-3 with a grand slam and 2 walks in Taawa’s 14-1 beatdown of Lia Puedris. Taawa RF Tony Katakien had another great outing, with a double and a HR for 3 RBI. Chargers pitching allowed just 1 run on 4 hits and struck out 12 batters.
- Delle starter Jaime Ruiz was hot again, striking out 9 in a no-decision. The Stars took a 3-2 home win against the Reapers.
Saturday, 6/22/1935
- Salvation RHP Tom Lia Morro went 8.1 scoreless innings, allowing 5 hits and striking out 5 in the Brothers’ 4-0 shutout win against crosstown rivals Tiny Sea.
- White Sox 1B Lee Guiterrekaz went 4-for-5 with a triple for 3 total RBI to lift Deerborn over Redwood for a home win, 8-5. Owls reliever Paul Davis left the game with back spasms and is expected to miss up to 2 weeks.
- Lia Kompos CF Ogg Do had a big day, going 5-for-7 with a double and HR for 3 RBI, but the Blazers won a 13-inning thriller, 8-7. Prissley reliever Pedro Muguerza left in the 7th with an oblique strain and will be day-to-day for the next week. Miners RP Luis Tawaatuos left with an apparently serious elbow injury. A diagnosis is pending.
- Bears 1B Dave Phillips hit a grand slam in Platte’s 6-5 win in Railey.
- The Chargers won a nail-biter on a walk-off solo shot by 2B Luke Lia Puedris in the 10th after 1B Jose Lia Tinta tied it with a solo bomb in the 9th. Final (10): TAA 2, LPK 1
- Guardians 1B Cal Oluoch went 3-for-4 with 2 HR for 3 RBI. Northsouth beat Roland, 4-0. Stags 2B Jose Meza left the game with a shoulder strain, and could be limited over the next few days.
- Reapers RHP Justin Antoine struck out 9 batters with just 1 run on 1 hit over 7 innings and got the win as Plains City beat Delle, 3-2.
Sunday, 6/23/1935
- Blazers 1B Luis Rokodriguez left with an ab strain and could be limited over the next 1-2 weeks as he recovers. He will not be added to the DL. RF Curt Sawyer hit a 2-run walk-off homer to give the Trail Blazers the win in an 11-inning thriller against Cherricaw.
- Platte starter Oliver Medina struck out 8 batters and allowed 1 run on 5 hits over 7 innings, but the Metros scored 3 in the 8th to take the road win over the Bears, 4-3.
- Reapers starter Achille Roy threw another gem, allowing no runs on 4 hits and striking out 9 over 8 innings. Plains City scored just 1 run on a solo shot by C Luis Rokodriguez in the 8th, the Reapers’ only hit of the game, but it was enough for the win. Final: PC 1, RAI 0.
- The Chargers offense went off again against Northsouth, dropping 21 runs. RF Tony Katakien set the Taawa record 8 RBI on a 3-for-4 day with 2 HR, including a grand slam in the 8th. 3B John Proper went 2-for-3 with 2 solo HR and 3 total RBI. Chargers starter Norbert Lia Taawa struck out 9 batters in 5 innings as the Taawa staff combined for 14 total Ks in the win. Taawa has won 4 straight games. Final: TAA 21, NOR 9.
- Owls 1B Juan Tokorres went 3-for-5 with 2 HR and 5 total RBI, while LF Steve Thomas hit 2 HR for 4 RBI. Redwood starter Dustin Parker struck out 11 Miners over 6.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 8 hits in the Owl’s 15-1 win over Lia Kompos. Owls SS Fouad Lefevre tied the league record, drawing 4 walks.

- Carp 1B Jesus Lia Taawa hit 2 HR for 6 RBI as Petchon stomped Lia Puedris, 15-0. SS Don Allen hit 2 homers for 4 RBI in the win, and RHP Gabe Kefentse threw 7 4-hit innings with 7 Ks.
Friday, 6/21/1935
- Greys 1B Vage Lek had a 5-RBI day, with a triple in the 8th and a grand slam in the 9th. Final: TIL 7, GAN 1.
