The Delle Stars met the Deerborn White Sox in the Windsor Cup Finals for the third straight year. The Stars played for their third straight Windsor Cup Championship, while the White Sox tried to win the Cup for the first time since 1929. This was the fifth straight Finals appearance for Deerborn.

1933 WCF Game 1

The Stars won their first Davis Trophy this season, earning a bye to the WCF and home field advantage in the series.

RHP Jeff Rogers got the start for Delle, with RHP Martin Westfield on the mound for Deerborn. Westfield went 7 innings, but gave up 4 runs on 3 home runs. Rogers took the win, going 8 innings with just 1 hit allowed, striking out 11, and providing some offense with a home run of his own. Stars 1B Pedro Bausi hit 2 HR in 4-0 the win.

1933 WCF Game 2 | DEL leads 1-0

The Stars absolutely dominated Game 2, 15-0.

Delle SP Pat Carter went 7 innings and allowed only 2 hits, striking out 9. LF Curt Lawson was 3 for 5 with a double and a HR for total RBI; CF Carlos Teakowa hit a triple and a homer for 3 RBI in the rout.

With the majority of their starting pitchers injured, ace Jorge Takato started Game 2 and was knocked around for 6 runs over 4.1 innings.

1933 WCF Game 3 | DEL leads 2-0

Delle LHP Kevin Leroux gave the Stars another great starting performance on Game 3. He allowed just 1 run on a homer by Curt Sawyer (the only run of the series so far for Deerborn) and struck out 8.

RF Antonio Teakowa and 3B Mario Olivo went deep for the Stars and C Jon Garcika hit a pair of doubles for 2 RBI in the 5-1 win.

Another dominant win has Delle 1 win away from their third straight Windsor Cup!

1933 WCF Game 4 | DEL leads 3-0

With their backs against the wall, the White Sox looked to avoid being swept at home in Game 4.

Deerborn 2B Luke Lia Puedris set the tone early with a lead-off home run. He hit 2 solo HRs in the game. 3B Rygh Ogg also went deep. SP Esteban Muiru allowed only 3 hits over 6 scoreless innings.

Deerborn cruised to a 6-0 win to send the series back to Delle for game 5.

1933 WCF Game 5 | DEL leads 3-1

The series shifted back to Delle for Game 5, with the Stars looking to take home their third straight Cup win in front of the home fans.

RHP Jeff Rogers started again, having dazzled from the mound and the plate in a Game 1 win. He shut down the White Sox lineup once again in Game 5. He pitched a complete game, allowing 1 run on just 3 hits with 9 strike outs. He also recorded 2 hits and scored a run.

The Stars went off at the plate for 10 runs, with HRs from Curt Lawson, Pedro Bausi, Mario Olivo, and Antonio Teakowa. Teakowa hit two. A 5-run 6th inning turned Stars Ballpark into a party, with the raucous Delle fans cheering, chanting, and singing heartily throughout the remainder of the game.

The Delle Stars once again routed the White Sox to claim their third straight Windsor Cup and to cement their status as the undisputed greatest team in baseball.

Jeff Rogers was chosen as the WCF MVP. In 2 starts, he struck out 20 batters, allowing only 1 run over 17 innings, and even delivered a .429 batting average and a home run from the plate.
