In the final week of the Regular Season, the final two playoff spots were still up for grabs. The Archers and the Brothers would play each other for the NC Wild Card berth, while the Pumas and the Cragsmen would aim for the SC Wild Card with the Chaparrals hosting the Cragsmen and the Pumas hosting the Poets.
Week 14 Scoreboard:

PLA (7-6) @ DEL (10-3): The Platte Cragsmen traveled to Delle to play the Chaparrals. Delle had already locked up the 2nd seed in the playoffs. Platte needed a win in this game and for Lia Kompos to lose or tie against Amblint to clinch the SC Wild Card. In a wild barn-burner, the Cragsmen came out swinging, riding a 21-point second quarter to a big lead. The Chaps came roaring back in the fourth quarter to come within 3 points, but eventually ran out of time in their comeback effort. Delle QB Hubert Aguirre had a huge game with 463 passing yards and 5 TDs. Platte QB Alvin Crane also played well with 380 passing yards, 5 TDs, and 1 INT. The Cragsmen came out on top and awaited the outcome of the Pumas/Poets game to learn their playoff fate. Platte HB Adam Bradshaw finished with 1132 rushing yards on the season for the 1934 Rushing Title! Final: PLA 45, DEL 42.

SAL (8-5) @ ELD (7-6): The Elderwood Archers hosted the Salvation Brothers. The Brothers were one game ahead of the Archers, but the Archers won the first meeting between the two teams, so a win would tie their records and give Elderwood the tiebreaker. The Archers had fallen on hard times, losing four straight games and losing starting QB Hugh Ricketts for the season. The Archers suffered another tough loss in this game as star receiver Joel Landon will miss the rest of the year with bruised ribs. Elderwood came through the adversity and put up a strong defensive effort and took care of business with backup QB Jeremy Perer, who will pilot the offense in the Wild Card playoff game next week against Tiny Sea. Final: ELD 19, SAL 10.

TAA (12-1) @ GR (4-9): The Taawa Jackals visited the Green Rock Warriors. Taawa looked to tune things up with a week off for the Wild Card Playoffs before they will host the SC Championship game in two weeks. Presumptive league MVP QB James De La Cruz struggled a bit compared to his usual level of play but was still good for 198 yards and a TD in the air and 45 yards on the ground. Warriors QB William Kastaneda was brilliant, throwing for 308 yards and 2 TDs. Green Rock shocked the Jackals, pulling off a comeback for the upset win. The result has no effect on the playoff seedings, but the loss may show future opponents a hitherto unknown weakness in the Jackals strong exterior. Final: GR 24, TAA 20.

AMB (5-8) @ LK (7-6): The Lia Kompos Pumas hosted the Amblint Poets. The Poets will miss the playoffs, but the Pumas could clinch the Wild Card with a win in this game. They won with ease, dominating the Poets in every facet. Lia Kompos QB Gerald Painter played great with 306 passing yards and 4 TDs along with 4 rushes for 60 yards. RBs Roy Prieto and Leonard Bryant combined for 111 yards with star HB David Juarez out for the rest of the season. The Pumas will travel to Delle to play the Chaparrals next week in the Wild Card Playoffs. DL Kylian Kosaro had 3 sacks in this game for Lia Kompos while DE Julio Eskobeda recorded 1 sack, ending the year with 17 sacks, enough to be crowned the 1934 Sack Title winner! Final: LK 45, AMB 21.

WIG (6-7) @ NOR (1-12): The Wight Ravens looked to end the year on high note and finish with a .500 record as they visited the Northsouth Generals. In a blowout win, Wight HB Garry Young ran for 95 yards on 18 carries and QB Alphonso Esparkia passed for 201 yards and 2 TDs with zero INTs. Final: WIG 37, NOR 13.

CAR (6-7) @ PET (2-10-1): The Carver Bulldogs visited the Petchon Predators. Carver hoped to end with a .500 record after a disappointing season. Carver QB Oscar Ivey had a rough day with 3 INTs. The Predators came away with a strong win to end the year. Petchon LB Harold Durakotos recorded 3 sacks on 9 total tackles in the game. Final: PET 23, CAR 15.

DEE (5-7-1) @ PC (10-3): The Plains City Travelers hosted the Deerborn Gryphons. Plains City looked to tune up before their playoff bye next week, while the Gryphons hoped for consolation at the end of a dismal season. Deerborn took the lead early in the fourth quarter, but Travelers K Donnie Scanlon nailed a chip shot FG to tie the game with 28 seconds left. The game ended in a tie. Travelers QB Phillip Marinna’a threw for 313 yards and 2 TDs, but couldn’t get the win to end the season. They will host the NC Championship game at the Polo Grounds in two weeks. Final: PC 17, DEE 17.

TS (9-4) @ RW (4-9): The Redwood Flyers hosted the NC West champion Tiny Sea Titans to end the year in a game with no playoff implications. Tiny Sea QB Leland James had an off-day with 2 INTs on 202 yards and a TD. Titans DL Al Damron had 4 sacks in the game as Tiny Sea held off the Flyers for a narrow win. Unfortunately, Tiny Sea lost two major defensive pieces as DL Daniel Burgos and DB Roy Gilles will miss the playoffs with injuries. The Titans will host the Archers in next week’s SC Wild Card game. Final: TS 13, RW 10.
