Stags veteran CF Carlos Teakowa won UA Player of the Week for the first time in his career. He was on a tear this week, hitting .476 with 3 HR and 4 RBI.

The Cherricaw Herders and Redwood Owls continued to chase the UA’s top record this week, with the Deerborn White Sox and Delle Stars close behind. All four teams currently lead their respective divisions.
Trail Blazers LF Bob Hove hit the 200th home run of his career this week!
Rumors abound of an imminent trade between the Platte Bears and the Lia Kompos Miners, but as of this writing, no deal has been announced.

All-Star voting continues! Fans across Uplantica have been voting for their favorite players. The winners will play in the 7th UA All-Star Game, coming up on August 10 at the Salvation City Center in Tiny Sea City.

- Delle LF Antonio Teakowa went deep twice in a 3-for-5 day with 5 RBI. Teakowa is at the top of the league with 13 HR this season. The Stars beat the Reapers, 11-6. MVP SS Mario Olivo bruised his knee on a slide in the game. He will be day-to-day for a week.
- Cherricaw LF Ron Morley hit two home runs, but the Rivals beat the Herders, 10-6.
- Prissley 2B Ismail Lefebvre went 4 for 5 with a double and 2 HR for 3 RBI. The Trail Blazers beat the Brothers, 9-3.
- Chargers RH SP Mark Lia Yorino pitched 8 1-run innings and struck out 9 as Taawa beat Platte, 7-1.
- Guardians LF Rogne Sem went 4 for 5 with 3 doubles and 5 RBI, but the Canaries got the win in Northsouth, 13-11.
- Owls ace Will Shufflebottom earned a complete game shutout, allowing 6 hits and striking out 9 in Redwood’s 10-0 win at Lia Kompos.

- Trail Blazers 3B Ugo Monnier hit 2 HR in the Trail Blazers 8-4 win over Wight, while RF Bob Hove hit the 200th HR of his career and his 11th this year.
- Wight OF Carlos Kayra is dealing with shoulder inflammation that will likely keep him out of action for about 3 weeks. RH SP Ramon Lia Taawa left today’s game with elbow tendinitis. He could miss around 5 weeks.
- Deerborn 2B Cliff Moyer hit a pair of HRs for 3 RBI and walked twice as the White Sox got past Roland, 4-3.
- Stars 1B Pedro Bausi launched his 13th HR as Delle beat Northsouth, 5-4.
- Miners LH SP Javier Rosaritoko struck out 9 batters in 5 and earned the win as Lia Kompos beat Tiny Sea, 5-2.
- Bears RH SP Travis Voelker racked up 10 Ks over 7 1-run innings and picked up the win in Platte’s 2-1 road victory over Salvation.
- Platte SS Ralph Maxwell will be day-to-day for about a week with back spasms.
Thursday, 7/12/1934
- Wight 1B Ryad Renaud hit 2 HR to take the UA lead with 15 on the year. The Spiders beat the Trail Blazers, 10-4.
- 24-year old RH SP Manny Kanja went 8 innings with 1 ER, struck out 10 and allowed just 3 hits. The Chargers beat the Canaries in 13 innings, 4-3.
- Platte LH SP Craig Ogg struck out 12 batters over 7 IP as the Bears beat the Brothers, 6-4.
- Stars SS Mario Olivo showed no signs of knee pain, hitting 2 HRs for 4 RBI in Delle’s 7-1 win over Northsouth. Antonio Teakowa hit his 14th HR in the win.
Friday 7/13/1934
- Stags RH SP Michael Mercer struck out 8 over 8 1-run innings and 2B Albert Pentana hit his 3rd homer in the last 4 games. Roland beat Deerborn, 6-1.
- Canaries starter Luis Ybarra fanned 9 over 5.2 IP, but Taawa came out on top in Carver, 2-1.
- Herders 2B Aubin Delcroix hit 2 HR for 4 RBI as Cherricaw swept the 3-game series against Plains City with a 4-3 win.
- Miners 2B Edward Holbrook hit 3 doubles, but the Metros won in Lia Kompos, 9-3.
- Guardians RHP Tony Rodier will miss 2-3 weeks with a herniated disc. Northsouth beat Delle, 7-4.
- Platte RH SP Ron Rivera will require reconstructive surgery on his elbow ligaments and will miss 12-13 months. The Bears won at Salvation, 7-5. They swept the 3-game series, but remain 2 games behind Cherricaw in the C Division.
- Owls RHP Dustin Parkers allowed just 2 hits over 7 innings and struck out 9 in Redwood’s 6-3 win over Railey.
Saturday 7/14/1934
- Owls 1B Victor Thabet hit a double and 2 HR for 4 RBI, and RH SP Andres Sajjabi allowed only 2 hits in 8.2 IP with 8 Ks, in Redwood’s 8-0 win over Tiny Sea. The win is Redwood’s 7th straight.
- Deerborn RF Curt Sawyer hit his 14th HR and LF Juan Tumaini went deep twice as the White Sox beat the Trail Blazers, 7-3.
- Roland 2B Albert Pentana drew 4 walks as the Stags beat the Miners in 14 innings, 7-6.
- Chargers RH SP Mark Lia Yorino struck out 12 batters over 7 2-run innings, tying the team record. Taawa beat Delle, 3-2.
Sunday 7/15/1934
- Reapers 1B Vance Adegoke went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and a HR for 5 total RBI. LF Andy Thompson says he’s still feeling a left quad strain from July 3, but he hit his 12th HR in Plains City’s 9-5 win over Railey.
- Stags CF Carlos Teakowa went 3 for 4 with 2 solo HRs but Lia Kompos beat Roland, 11-3.
- 21-year old Brothers RH SP Kamel Gosselin notched 10 Ks in 7.2 IP with 4 hits and 1 ER. Salvation beat Carver, 4-1.
- Spiders RF Theron Landry hit a grand slam in the 8th to lift Wight over Platte, 4-2.
- Stars 1B Pedro Bausi went 3 for 3 with a HR and 3 total RBI. It was his 14th HR this season, 1 behind league leader Ryad Renaud. Delle lost to Taawa, 10-4. It was Taawa’s 4th straight win. They are 3 games behind Redwood in the D Division. The Stars remain 3 games in front of Plains City in the A Division.
- Delle CF King Jackson left today’s loss with a finger blister. It could affect him over the next couple weeks.
- White Sox 3-time Pitcher of the Year, Jorge Takato, went 8 innings allowing 1 run on 5 hits and striking out 7. Deerborn beat Prissley, 4-1. The Sox lead Prissley and Roland by 5 games in the B Division.
- Herders 1B Pedro Kopano hit his 13 HR, but Northsouth beat Cherricaw, 8-5. Cherricaw leads Platte by 3 games in the C Division.

- Toppers RH RP John George will miss a full calendar year after suffering a torn labrum in his shoulder on Monday. The Toppers lost to the Mystics today, 1-0.

- Captains LH SP Brust Len allowed just 2 hits over 7 scoreless innings and fanned 10 in Riverside’s 7-0 win over Elderwood.
- Mystics 1B Jack Garrett went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI in Kontekia’s 5-1 win over Trimble.

- Flames RF Norm Hester was 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and a HR for 2 RBI. He also scored 4 runs in Farport’s 13-9 win over Trimble.
