Trail Blazers RF Bob Hove was on fire this week. He hit .409 with 6 HR and 14 RBI. He has homered in each of his last five games. Hove’s performance gave him the 4th Player of the Week Award of his career.

Tight races continued in all four UA divisions this week. The new four-division format has been a success so far this season, with Crystalline Casting viewership numbers of UA broadcasts up nationwide.
The First-Year Player Draft was held on Friday. This is the first draft combining the UA and NPL teams. This should help NPL teams develop to compete with teams from the elder circuit now that promotion and relegation between the leagues will take place each season.

All-Star voting has begun! Fans across Uplantica have begun voting for their favorite players. The winners will play in the 7th UA All-Star Game, coming up on August 10 at the Salvation City Center in Tiny Sea City.

Monday, 7/2/1934
- White Sox C Alejandro Lia Loma hit a pair of HRs for 5 RBI in Deerborn’s 8-4 win over Redwood.
- Plains City RH SP Achille Roy allowed 4 hits and 1 ER over 8 IP, earning the win in the Reapers’ 2-1 victory over Platte.
Tuesday, 7/3/1934
- 1928 UA MVP LF Ambroise Forestier left the game against Salvation in the 6th inning with a sore shoulder. The Brothers beat the Metros, 7-2. Forestier is headed to the IL, and could miss up to two weeks.
- The Cherricaw Herders completed a 3-game sweep of the Delle Stars. They are tied with Salvation for first in the C Division.
- Spiders LF Jim Ellison hit 2 HRs, one of which was a grand slam. However, the Miners won the game, 12-9, thanks in part to 2 solo HRs by 1B Ramon Zuniga.
- Reapers RH SP Justin Antoine went 7.1 innings, allowing 1 run on just 2 hits and striking out 8. Plains City beat Platte, 3-1.
Wednesday, 7/4/1934
- Prissley RF Bob Hove hit 2 HR for 3 RBI in the Trail Blazers’ 4-3 win over the Chargers.
- 3-time Pitcher of the Year, Deerborn RH SP Jorge Takato struck out 11 batters in a no-decision against Lia Kompos. C Alejandro Lia Loma’s pinch-hit RBI double ended the game in the 11th inning. The White Sox beat the Miners, 3-2.
- Reapers C Luis Rokodriguez went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 HR for 4 RBI as Plains City defeated Carver, 7-4.
- Stars RH SP Pat Carter notched 8 Ks over 7.1 IP, giving up 1 run on 4 hits. Delle snapped a 5-game losing streak with a 4-1 win over Railey. The loss ends a 5-game winning streak for the Rivals.
- Owls RH SP Will Shufflebottom went the distance against Cherricaw, striking out 10 batters. However, the Herders won the game, 2-1, with 10 Ks from their pitching staff in a bullpen game. Cherricaw has won 6 of their last 7 games and hold a 1-game lead in UA C Division.
Thursday, 7/5/1934
- White Sox backup OF Francisco Poultuo had a great game against the Miners. He hit 2 solo HR to help Deerborn beat Lia Kompos, 6-2.
- Chargers LH SP Doyle Lane was phenomenal over 8 innings, allowing 1 run on just 2 hits and striking out 8. However, the Trail Blazers rallied in the 9th for 3 runs to win, 4-2. It was RP Raymond Merriweather’s first blown save this year.
- The Spiders suffered their 6th straight loss, 4-2, at the hands of the Metros.
- Reapers LF Andy Thompson hit HRs number 8 and 9 against the Canaries. He had 4 RBI in the game. Carver came out on top, though, 10-9, with a walk-off double from C Will Seroro in the bottom of the ninth.
- Salvation LH SP Juan Rosa went 8 scoreless innings, allowing just 3 hits, and striking out 5. The Brothers beat the Stags, 7-0.
- The Stars beat the Rivals, 7-3, but RH RP Francisco Katrikowa left with what turned out to be a herniated disc in his back. He will miss around 6 weeks.
- Herders 2B Bobby Moyle tore a ligament in his thumb while sliding and will miss 3 weeks. Owls starter Mike Gurr was brilliant again, going 8 scoreless innings and striking out 6 as Redwood beat Cherricaw, 5-0.
Friday 7/6/1934
- The Tillers Greys of the NPL took 20-year old infielder Eric Lia Yoro first overall in the First-Year Player Draft. Lia Yoro his .309 with 23 HR over 65 games in his last year in college.
- The Platte Bears have been struggling since their fantastic start over the first two weeks of the season. They were dealt a tough blow today as RH RP Justin Russell was diagnosed with bone chips in his elbow. He will miss 2-3 months. The Bears beat the Guardians today, 6-1.
- White Sox CF Jimmy Lia Morro went 3 for 5 with a double, a HR, and 4 RBI. Deerborn beat up Lia Kompos, 11-2. Deerborn RF Curt Sawyer hit his 11th homer of the year in the win.
- Brothers RH SP Francisco Lia Taawa left the game in the 7th inning with hamstring pain. He will be day-to-day for a few days. Stags C Rafael Castillo hit a pair of HRs as Roland beat Salvation, 5-3.
- Prissley RF Bob Hove homered in his third straight game. It was his 4th home run in the last 3 games. He now has 8 HR on the year. The Chargers got the better of the Trail Blazers, 4-3. Taawa 1B Jose Lia Tinta hit his 9th HR in the win.
- Delle LH SP Morgan Burnett was lights out against the Rivals. He allowed only 3 hits over 8 scoreless innings and struck out 12. Stars 1B Pedro Bausi hits his 10th HR to lift Delle over the Rivals, 1-0.
- Owls starter Evan Francis tied the UA record, issuing 8 walks against the Herders. He also struck out 9, but Cherricaw took home the win with a double, a HR, and 3 RBI from C Mario Machupa on a 3-for-5 day.
Saturday 7/7/1934
- Voting began today for the UA All-Star Game! The game will be held at the Salvation City Center in Tiny Sea on August 10.
- Deerborn 1B Kylian Trimble went 4 for 5 with a HR and 3 RBI. RF Curt Sawyer hit his 12th HR of the year as the White Sox held on to beat the Metros, 11-10.
- Trail Blazers RF Bob Hove went 2 for 3 with 5 RBI and hit his 9th home run of the season. He has homered in 5 straight games! Prissley beat Salvation, 5-0.
- There was a scary moment in Roland when Wight 2B Andy bernard was hit in the face by a pitch. He went down to the ground, but did not lose consciousness. He has a nasty bruise, but was not seriously injured. He may be limited for the next few days. The Spiders lost their 8th straight. Final: ROL 5, WIG 3.
- Plains City 1B Vance Adegoke went 4 for 4 with a double and a 2-run home run. The Stars overcame a ninth inning rally by the Reapers to win in 10 innings, 8-7. Antonio Teakowa and Pedro Bausi both hit their 11th HRs of the season in the win.
- Bears LH SP Craig Ogg racked up 11 Ks over 6.2 innings and earned the win as Platte beat Taawa, 5-2.
Sunday 7/8/1934
- Northsouth SS Chris Neal tore his quad in the first game of a double header against the Canaries. He will be out for 3-4 weeks. The Guardians won both games.
- Deerborn starter Mathew Huertata struck out 8 over 8.1 scoreless innings. The White Sox stomped the Metros, 10-0. IF Cliff Moyer hit a grand slam in the win. The White Sox lead the B Division by 3 games over Prissley.
- The Spiders broke their 8-game losing streak, beating Roland, 3-2. Wight lefty ace Kevin Leroux left the game with back soreness, but said he’ll be ready to go for his next start.
- Reapers RH SP Justin Antoine tossed another gem, going 8 innings and allowing no runs on just 3 hits while striking out 6. Plains City blanked Delle, 2-0. The Reapers are now 2 games behind the Stars in the A Division.
- The Herders beat the Rivals, 5-1. Cherricaw has won 8 of their last 10 games and hold the best record in the UA at 21-12.
- Owls RF Ronald Joyner went off at the plate with 2 doubles and 2 HR for 3 RBI. The Owls beat the Miners, 9-2. Redwood is enjoying a 5-game cushion over Northsouth and Taawa in the D Division.
- Trail Blazers RF Bob Hove did it again! He hit his 6th homer in the last 5 games, his 10th of the year. Prissley beat Salvation, 8-2, to remain 3 games back of Deerborn in the B Division.

- Kings RH SP Vic Mitchell struck out 9 batters over 7 scoreless innings. He allowed 5 hits in the 5-0 win over the Captains.
Tuesday, 7/3/1934
- Trimble LH SP George Webb stayed hot with a 10 K performance over 6.1 innings, but the Toppers would go on to lose in extra innings to the Dragons. Final/11: GR 2, TRI 1.
Wednesday, 7/4/1934
- Carp 1B Jesus Lia Taawa hit a double and a HR for 4 total RBI and scored 3 times. Petchon beat Farport, 8-1. Petchon LH SP Domingo Lia Itoldino went 6 innings, allowing 2 hits and striking out 6.
Thursday, 7/5/1934
- Ducks CF Erik Michel went 3 for with 2 HR and 4 RBI, scoring 3 runs. Gandolire beat the Blue Sox, 5-3.
- Ropers 3B Roland Salgado went 3 for 3 with 2 HR for 3 RBI as Gallstone beat Elderwood, 5-4.

Saturday, 7/8/1934
- Toppers LH SP George Webb pitched yet another great game. He went 8 scoreless innings, gave up 5 hits and struck out 4. Webb’s great season continues. To date, he has 48 Ks and a 1.25 ERA. Trimble beat Riverside, 2-1.
- Carp LH SP Yassine Gaudin’s stellar season continued with a W in 6 IP over the Ducks. Pethcon beat Gondolire by a final score of 3-0. Gaudin has a remarkable 0.50 ERA in 35.2 IP this year.
