A Wight Spiders player has won Player of the Week for the second week in a row. Spiders utility man Jeff Pekerez went 12 for 25 this week with 2 HR and 7 RBI. On Friday, he became the second player this season to hit for the cycle. He hit a walk-off grand slam and had 5 total RBI in that game.

Jeff Pekerez has hit for the cycle! The Spiders utility star is the second player, after Vance Adegoke of the Reapers, to hit for the cycle this season.

As June comes to a close, races are close in all four UA divisions. Any team could make a path to the Windsor Cup, although the Carver Canaries are falling behind quickly, 11 games out of first in D Division. They are the current favorite for relegation at the end of the year.

This week will mark the midway point of the NPL’s 70-game season. The Elderwood Lakers and Lia Puedris Kings are currently in the lead to compete in the first-ever National Series in August, with promotion to the UA for 1935 on the line.
