The NC East Champion Carver Bulldogs hosted the Wight Ravens in a rematch of last week’s Regular Season game that saw Carver trounce Wight to win the division title. Would the Ravens be able overcome a season-ending concussion to starting QB Alphonso Esparkia, or would the Bulldogs dominate again?
The SC East Champion Delle Chaparrals hosted the Taawa Jackals in a battle between the top two defenses in the league. These teams split their two Regular Season games, with an even average score between the two games. The Chaps were 7-0 at home in Darling Stadium in the Regular Season. Could the Jackals pull of a playoff win on the road?
The Conference Championships are next! This week’s winners will go on to face the Elderwood Archers in the Northern Conference and the Lia Kompos Pumas in the Southern Conference.

WIG (9-5) @ CAR (9-5): In the NC Wild Card game, the Carver Bulldogs struck first with a 14-yard TD pass from QB Oscar Ivey to HB Anthony Hilton. Wight Ravens backup QB Henry Zarur performed better this week than in last week’s losing effort in this same stadium, throwing for 330 yards, 3 TDs, and no INTs. However, trailing late in the game, the Ravens seemed to lack trust in their QB, opting for conservative play calling that ultimately saw the clock run out on their comeback hopes. Carver QB Oscar Ivey threw for 294 yards, 3 TDs and 1 INT. The Bulldogs move on to face the Elderwood Archers in the NC Championship next week. Final: CAR 32, WIG 22.

TAA (11-3) @ DEL (10-4): In the SC Wild Card game, the top two defenses lived up to the hype, forcing a combined 19 punts between the two teams. The Chaps finally scored the game’s first touchdown late in the third quarter on a 12-yard run by HB Anthony Gasporra, and the Chaps led 14-3 heading into the final quarter. Trailing by a touchdown, the Jackals got the ball back with just under 3 minutes to go. Taawa QB James De La Cruz converted on 4th and 11 with a 30-yard completion to TE David Morva, then tied the game with a 25-yard pass to WR Vagana’a Sanchez. In overtime, the Chaps scored on their first possession with a 9-yard TD pass from QB Hubert Aguirre to TE Tyrone Washington, but failed to convert the mandatory 2-point attempt as Taawa DE Charles Veguilla picked up his 2nd QB sack of the day. Taawa scored on an 18-yard De La Cruz pass to WR Peter Cody, and won the game with a 2-point run by HB Rickie Bates. The Jackals win the first overtime game in UPF history and advance to the SC Championship against their division rivals, the Lia Kompos Pumas. Final: TAA 29, DEL 27 (OT).
