The Elderwood Archers clinched the NC West this week, but the remaining two Northern Conference playoff spots are still up for grabs between Wight, Carver, and Plains City. The final week of the Regular Season will decide playoff participants and seeding.
The Southern Conference playoffs will feature Delle, Lia Kompos, and Taawa. The Delle Chaparrals are champs in SC East, but the SC West title and the conference’s best record are still undecided with one week to go in the Regular Season.
Platte Cragsmen HB Adam Bradshaw became UPF’s first 1,000-yard rusher this week, ending Week 13 at 1,051 yards rushing this season.
Carver Bulldogs WR Paul Peterman became UPF’s first 1,000-yard receiver this week, ending Week 13 at 1,005 yards receiving this season.
The Lia Kompos Pumas are still fighting for the SC’s top record and a bye to the Conference Championship, but they will be without HB Leonard Bryant for the remainder of the season. Meanwhile, the Tiny Sea Titans have lost Leland James for the remainder of the season with a concussion. Last year’s starter, Robert Calabrese, will take over at quarterback for the team’s remaining game.
Week 13 Scoreboard:

TAA (9-3) @ CAR (8-4): The Taawa Jackals visited the Carver Bulldogs. The game was a bit sloppy on both sides, with each offense giving up 2 INT’s and a fumble. The Jackals looked like they might run away early, but the Bulldogs battled back to take the lead in the fourth quarter. Taawa ultimately won the game with a chip shot FG by K Kermit Butler. Taawa DB Mark Lusk sealed the win with an interception in the final two minutes of the game. WIth the win, Taawa’s slim hopes of winning the SC West and earning the conference’s best record remain alive. Final: TAA 13, CAR 12.

RW (5-7) @ DEL (8-4): The Delle Chaparrals dominated the Redwood Flyers at home. Delle QB Hubert Aguirre played very well, throwing for 403 yards and 2 TDs in the rout. He is certainly under consideration for league MVP with one week to go. Final: DEL 34, RW 7.

AMB (4-8) @ GR (4-8): The Amblint Poets played a great second half to overcome the Green Rock Warriors the the Green Rock Bowl. Green Rock finished better than Amblint in nearly every statistical category over the course of the game, but the Poets held on in the fourth quarter for the win. Final: AMB 26, GR 23.

DEE (5-7) @ NOR (0-12): The Deerborn Gryphons played the Generals in Northsouth. The Generals led until the fourth quarter, when a 5-yard TD pass from QB Branden Warren to WR Dewitt Kessler gave the Gryphons the lead. The Generals have just one week remaining to win a game in the 1933 season. They’ll play the Chaparrals. Final: DEE 19, NOR 13.

PLA (5-7) @ PC (7-5): The Plains City Travelers hosted the Platte Cragsmen. Travelers QB Phillip Marinna’a had an MVP-calibur game, with 352 yards passing and 4 TDs for a 155.48 QB rating. Plains City wins their third straight game and stays alive in the playoff race. Final: PC 35, PLA 28.

PET (4-8) @ SAL (5-7): The Salvation Brothers won at home against the Petchon Predators in a low-scoring affair. Brothers QB William Maya threw the game’s only touchdown to WR Man Pointer. Salvation DT Demarucs Jernigan had 2 sacks in the win. Final: SAL 10, PET 3.

ELD (7-4-1) @ TS (6-6): The Elderwood Archers traveled to the Tiny Sea Coliseum to play the Tiny Sea Titans. For the Archers, a win would mean an NC West division title, while the Titans needed a win to keep their slim playoff hopes alive. The Titans lost starting QB Leland James to a concussion in the first quarter. Backup Robert Calabrese was last season’s starter in Tiny Sea, and an MVP candidate in the UPFF’s sole season. Calabrese and the Titans fought well and held a 10-point lead to start the fourth quarter. However, the fourth was all Archers. A fumble by Titans KR Hugo Kay on a kickoff return and an INT by Archers CB Roger Gallarko led up to a last second winning FG by K Alton Jessup to give Elderwood the win and a division title. The Titans are eliminated from playoff contention and will be without Leland James for their final game of the year next week. Final: ELD 25, TS 23.

LK (10-1-1) @ WIG (8-4): The Lia Kompos Pumas visited the Wight Ravens in a possible preview of the Uplantic Bowl. The Pumas looked to get back on track after suffering their first loss of the season last week, while the Ravens looked to take advantage of Carver’s loss to take over sole possession of first place in the NC East. It was a chilly day at Jenkins Stadium and a low-scoring affair. The Pumas struck first with a touchdown pass from QB Gerald Painter to WR Blaine Chailez, with just under 4 minutes left in the first half. The Ravens played tough, though, and K Dalton Kandoro kicked 3 FGs in the second half to give the Ravens a win and hand the Pumas an unlikely second straight loss. Wight is alone in first the NC East heading into a Week 14 game against second-place Carver, while the Pumas loss leaves the door open for Taawa to win the SC West division in Week 14. Final: WIG 9, LK 7.
