As we enter the final stretch of the season, the playoff picture is coming into focus in the Southern Conference and is a bit more wide open in the Northern Conference. Just three weeks of games remain after this week!
Week 11 Scoreboard:

CAR (6-4) @ AMB (4-6): The Carver Bulldogs visited the Amblint Poets. Carver looked good again with backup QB Frank Daugherty, who threw for 229 yards. The Bulldogs dominated the Poets on both sides of the ball, including an incredible 5 quarterback sacks from Carver DE Adam Basanoka. Carver stays in the thick of the tight NC East race with their fourth straight win. Final: CAR 21, AMB 3.

WIG (6-4) @ DEE (4-6): The Wight Ravens pulled out a win in a great game against the Gryphons in Deerborn. Wight pulled ahead with 47 seconds left on a TD pass from QB Alphonso Esparkia to WR Carl Navejas, who broke through the defense with a great run after the catch to score the go-ahead TD. Esparkia threw for 280 yards and a TD in the win. The Ravens remain tied with the Bulldogs for first place in the NC East. Final: WIG 20, DEE 19.

TAA (9-1) @ DEL (7-3): The Taawa Jackals and the Delle Chaparrals played a tough back-and-forth game in the snow at Darling Stadium. The freezing conditions likely contributed to 2 lost fumbles on both sides. The fourth quarter saw three lead changes, with Chaparrals QB Hubert Aguirre ultimately leading a 10-play drive to set up the winning 39-yard FG by K Koorine’e Terry. The Chaps can clinch the SC East next week with a win against Deerborn, while the Jackals have now clinched a playoff spot despite the loss. Final: DEL 19, TAA 17.

ELD (6-3-1) @ GR (2-8): The Green Rock Warriors upset the Elderwood Archers at the Green Rock Bowl. Warriors QB William Kastaneda started the scoring with a TD pass to TE William Dukes on their opening drive. Kastaneda and the Warriors began to run away in the third quarter, outscoring the Archers 13-0. Elderwood led a late comeback, but lost an onside kick in the final minute to quash their hopes. The Archers have lost three straight, but remain in first place in the NC West. Final: GR 26, ELD 19.

NOR (0-10) @ LK (9-0-1): Football’s worst team, the Northsouth Generals, headed to Lia Kompos to take on football’s best team, the undefeated Pumas. The Generals played their best game of the year, forcing Lia Kompos to come back from behind in the fourth quarter. Come from behind they did, as QB Gerald Painter threw 2 TDs and 2 INTs in the game. He threw for 228 yards and ran for 26 in the effort. The Pumas have clinched a playoff berth. They now turn their attention to winning the SC West division and a first round bye. They lead the Jackals by 1.5 games with 3 weeks to go. Final: LK 22, NOR 14.

PET (4-6) @ PLA (4-6): The Platte Cragsmen dominated the Petchon Predators at home in the Simmons Bowl. HB Adam Bradshaw scored 2 TDs on 88 yards rushing. Platte’s big win keeps them in the hunt for the playoffs with a division title, but they’ll have to win out and hope Delle loses their remaining 3 games, which is not likely. Final: PLA 35, PET 16.

RW (4-6) @ SAL (3-7): The Salvation Brothers won their second straight, breaking the Redwood Flyers 4-game win streak. The game did not feature a touchdown, but 3 FGs by K Ralph Mclemore and a safety on a QB sack by DE Demarcus Jernigan gave them the win. Final: SAL 11, RW 3.

PC (5-5) @ TS (6-4): The Plains City Travelers traveled to Tiny Sea City to take on the Titans. Both teams are in the thick of division races with the playoffs looming large. In a thrilling back-and-forth game, the Travelers won on a last second FG by K Donnie Scanlon after a commanding drive led by QB Phillip Marinna’a. Marinna’a was electric, throwing for 358 yards and 2 TDs with zero INTs. The Titans miss their chance at first place in the NC West with the loss; they remain half a game behind the Archers. The Travelers remain 1 game back in the NC East race. Both teams are now a game behind in the Wild Card race. Final: PC 26, TS 24.
