As the UPF Regular Season reaches the midway point, the early playoff picture is starting to come into view.
A handful of injuries this week could affect some top teams as they vie for playoff positions, most notably Travelers WR Clyde Knox (doubtful for Week 8), Titans DB Christopher Johnson (expected back in Week 10), and Jackals LB Dean Navarro (doubtful for Week 8).
Week 7 Scoreboard:




AMB (2-4) @ DEE (3-3): The Deerborn Gryphons recorded a solid win at home against the Amblint Poets. The Gryphons snap a 3-game losing streak. DL Walter Lira had 4 sacks on 7 tackles in the win. Final: DEE 22, AMB 17.


CAR (3-3) @ DEL (4-2): The Delle Chaparrals stayed red-hot with a big win at home against the Carver Bulldogs. Delle QB Hubert Aguirre threw for 260 and 3 TDs. WR Kyle Velazsquez caught 2 passes for 2 TDs, one of which was an 80-yard bomb in the fourth quarter. The Chaps win their 5th straight game to open a 2-game lead in the SC East. Final: DEL 35, CAR 7.


TS (4-2) @ ELD (5-1): The Tiny Sea Titans traveled to Elderwood to take on the Archers in an NC West showdown. A thrilling back-and-forth game ended in an Archers win on a 9-yard pass from QB Hugh Ricketts to WR Glen Lloyd after an impressive 9-play drive in the final two minutes. Elderwood has the top record in the Northern Conference at the midway point in the season. Final: ELD 30, TS 27.


PLA (3-3) @ GR (1-5): The Green Rock Warriors handed the Platte Cragsmen a tough loss. Warriors K Wassim Batiste nailed a 52-yard FG with 9 seconds to go to give Green Rock the win at home. The Cragsmen lose their third straight game and fall 2 games behind the Chaparrals in the SC East. Final: GR 26, PLA 23.


SAL (2-4) @ LK (6-0): The Lia Kompos Pumas made it look easy against the Salvation Brothers, winning their seventh straight to remain the only undefeated team in the UPF. Pumas QB Gerald Painter continued his MVP bid with 190 yards passing and 2 TDs, along with 5 rushes for 26 yards. Final: LK 20, SAL 6.


RW (0-6) @ NOR (6-0): In a battle of winless teams, the Redwood Flyers and Northsouth Generals lived up to the “worst teams” hype. In a game without a touchdown on either side, the Flyers staked their claim as the second-worst team in the league. Redwood DL David Valcarcel had 4 sacks on 7 tackles, one of which was for a safety as time expired in the game. Final: RW 8, NOR 3.


WIG (4-2) @ RW (2-4): The Wight Ravens won a tight contest against the Predators in Petchon. The Ravens overcame a Predators fourth quarter comeback with K Dalton Kandioro’s 5th FG of the game, a 47-yard attempt as time expired. Wight retains a slim lead in the NC East. Final: WIG 29, PET 27.


TAA (5-1) @ PC (4-2): The Taawa Jackals went to Plains City to play the Travelers at the Polo Grounds. The Jackals held on in a tight contest for their sixth straight win. They remain a game back of the unbeaten Pumas in the SC West. The Travelers fall a game behind the Ravens in the NC East. Taawa QB James De La Cruz threw for 268 yards and a TD in the win. Final: TAA 26, PC 22.
