Uplantic Premier Football returned for more action in Week 2 after garnering superb viewer ratings via Crystalline Casting in Week 1.

Week 2 Scoreboard:

PLA (1-0) @ AMB (1-0): Platte QB Alvin Crane left in the first quarter with an injury to his ribs and did not return. His replacement, QB Jermaine Powers played very well, throwing for 175 yards and 3 TDs. Alvin Crane is expected to return next week for a big game against Lia Kompos. Final: PLA 28, AMB 18.

RW (0-1) @ CAR (0-1): In a dominant home win, Bulldogs DE Adam Basanoka had 3 sacks. As a team, the Bulldogs sacked Redwood QB Lemanea’a Gacharna 10 times and won the turnover battle with an interception by CB Ed Ashe and a fumble recovered by LB Lulani’i Leon. Final: CAR 22, RW 3.

NOR (0-1) @ DEE (1-0): The Gryphons cruised to a big win with a sack and an interception by SS Steven Morris. The Gryphons ran the ball down the throats of the Generals, with HBs Lindsey Serna and Charles Korir combining for 146 yards on the ground. Final: DEE 21, NOR 3.

WIG (1-0) @ ELD (1-0): The Wight Ravens came out on top in a shootout with the Elderwood Archers on Sunday. Both quarterbacks played very well, but Wight QB Alphonso Esparkia got the win in one of the great QB performances we’ve seen. He threw for 297 yards and 5 TDs. He also ran for 77 yards on 8 carries. Final: WIG 38, ELD 35.

PET (0-1) @ LK (1-0): The Pumas held off the Predators in a close game in Lia Kompos. Pumas QB Gerald Painter threw for 246 yards, 2 TDs, and an interception in the win, along with 8 rushes for 24 yards. The Pumas are emerging as an early favorite in the Southern Conference. Final: LK 22, PET 17.

PC (1-0) @ SAL (1-0): The Salvation Brothers improved to 2-0 with a blowout win at home over the Plains City Travelers. Despite their name, the Travelers continue their struggles on the road from last year. Brothers QB William Maya threw for 278 yards and 2 TDs in the win. Brothers WR Jack Solarzano went off with 11 catches for 144 yards and a TD. Final: SAL 32, PC 11.

DEL (0-1) @ TAA (0-1): The Taawa Jackals hosted the Delle Chaparrals in a thriller at Sapfoot Stadium West. The Jackals overcame a late Chaps comeback with a winning 52-yard FG by K Kermit Butler as time expired. These two teams fought for the final SC playoff spot last season in the UPFF, with Delle eventually taking the spot and losing to the A’s in the Uplantic Bowl. Delle has fallen to 0-2 to start this season in the UPF. Final: TAA 15, DEL 13.

GR (0-1) @ TS (0-1): The Tiny Sea Titans looked strong at home against the Green Rock Warriors. Tiny Sea DL Al Damron recovered a fumble by Wirrin Mejia in the first quarter, and the Titans never looked back. Tiny Sea QB Leland James threw for 259 yards and a TD, completing 25 passes to seven different receivers. Titans DE Gordon Cheas had 2 sacks on 5 total tackles in the win. Final: TS 24, GR 10.
