Monday, 7/10/1933
- Stags CF Ramon Zuniga stayed hot with 2 more HR to bring his league-leading season total to 17. Roland beat Railey, 5-1. Rivals SS John Byrne left the game after being hit in the calf with a pitch. He has not been placed on the IL.
- Stars RF Antonio Teakowa hit his 12th and 13th HRs in Delle’s 8-2 win at Lia Kompos. Delle 1B Pedro Bausi was ejected in the 9th inning for arguing with the umpire.
- Guardians LF Rogne Sem hit a 2-run walk-off HR in the bottom of the 11th to seal a comeback win against Prissley. F/11: NOR 3, PRI 2.
Tuesday, 7/11/1933
- White Sox CF Curt Sawyer went 3 for 4 with a double, a HR, and 5 RBI. Deerborn beat Roland, 6-3.
- The Stars pitching staff combined for 18 Ks in a 14-inning, 4-hour marathon. Delle 3B Mario Olivo was 4 for 6 and hit 2 HR, including a solo blast to end the game in the 14th.
Wednesday, 7/12/1933
- White Sox LF Juan Tumaini went 4 for 5 with a HR and 3 RBI in Deerborn’s 5-4 win over Roland. Stags CF Ramon Zuniga hit his UA-best 18th HR in the loss.
- Stars 3B Mario Olivo tied the league home run lead with his 18th of the year. Delle beat Redwood in 10 innings, 4-3.
- Bears RH SP Juan Kutakuto notched 9 Ks in 7 IP as Platte shut out Northsouth, 3-0, to avoid a sweep. The Guardians lead the Bears by 1 game in the UA West.
Thursday, 7/13/1933
- The Stars won their 8th straight game with a 3-1 win against the Owls today.
- Stags RF Tony Katakien went deep twice and knocked in an incredible 7 runs in Roland’s 11-5 win over Deerborn. The loss bring the White Sox in to a tie for first in the East with the red-hot Stars. The Rivals are 1 game back after their win today.
- Insult to injury: in addition to their loss today, the White Sox have lost last season’s UA Pitcher of the Year, SP Roberto Tokorres, for the rest of the year. The inflammation in his forearm will require at least 3 months of rest. Deerborn has an impressive and deep pitching staff, but this news is still hard to take for the Sox and their fans.
- Bears SP Mark Lia Yorino went 8 scoreless innings with only 3 hits allowed and 5 Ks. The Bears won the rubber match at home against the Northsouth, making the two teams even atop the UA West.
Saturday, 7/15/1933
- Deerborn SP Martin Westfield struck out 9 batters and provided 2 RBI in the White Sox’ 5-4 win over the Rivals. The win gives Deerborn a 2-game lead over Railey in the West.
- Trail Blazers 1B Francisco Katakowa hit a pair of HRs in Prissley’s 10-1 stomping of the Owls.
- Stars SP Jeff Rogers struck out 12 batters in 6 innings. RF Antonio Teakowa walked it off in the bottom of the 10th with a solo HR to give Delle a 3-2 victory over Taawa. The Stars’ 9th straight win leaves them tied with the White Sox for first in the UA East.
Sunday 7/16/1933
- White Sox 1B Bob Hove hit his 17th HR of the year and SP Arturo Kolon struck out 9 over 6 innings as Deerborn downed Railey again, 5-2. Railey is now 3 games behind the Sox in the East.
- The Delle Stars held on against the Taawa Chargers for their 10th straight win. They remain tied with the White Sox for first in the UA East.
- Trail Blazers promising rookie 2B Ismail Lefebvre left the game against Redwood with an apparently serious leg injury. He is hitting .303 so far this year. We await a diagnosis. Prissley C Steve Austin went 3 for 5 with 5 RBI as the Blazers beat the Owls in 10 innings, 6-5.
- Roland SP Rich Smith struck out 9 batters in 7 IP and allowed 0 runs on 4 hits. The Stags beat the Herders, 6-2.
- Northsouth 1B Cal Oluoch left the yard twice as the Guardians beat the Brothers, 6-4.
- Bears RH SP Pancho Romo went the distance, allowing 1 run on just 2 hits and striking out 6. Platte beat Lia Kompos, 5-1, to remain tied with the Guardians for first in the UA West.

Monday, 7/10/1933
- Canaries SP Dan Prat went 8 innings with only 2 hits and 0 ER as Carver beat Petchon, 3-0.
- Wight LH SP Josh Tremonte allowed just 1 hit and 0 runs in 8 innings and struck out 8 Toppers batters in the Spiders’ 3-1 win.
Tuesday, 7/11/1933
- In addition to a sprained left knee, Elderwood 1B Daniel Lia Yorino is now experiencing tendinitis in his right knee. He left tonight’s game but has not been placed on the IL. 35-year old Lia Yorino was the Windsor Cup MVP in for Deerborn in 1929. The Lakers beat the Kings, 2-0.
Wednesday, 7/12/1933
- Metros LF Ambroise Forestier hit a double and a HR on a 3-for-5 day with 3 RBI. Tiny Sea beat Petchon, 7-0.
- Reapers SP Achille Roy racked up 7 Ks in 5 IP, but the Spiders edged Plains City, 3-2, remaining tied with the Lakers for the league’s best record at 10-2.
Thursday, 7/13/1933
- Spiders SP Francisco Lia Taawa threw a gem today. He shut out the Plains City Reapers on just 2 hits over 9 innings, throwing only 85 pitches. Final: WIG 6, PC 0.
- The Tiny Sea Metros unloaded on the Petchon Carp for a 17-3 win in Petchon.
- Kings DH Luis Lumabas went 3 for 3 with a double and 5 RBI in Lia Puedris’s 11-3 win over Elderwood. The loss puts the Lakers a game behind the Spiders for first place in the NPL.
Saturday, 7/15/1933
- Plains City SP Julian Rault allowed just 1 run on 6 hits over 7 innings, but the Reapers lost their 5th straight and are on the verge of being swept for the second straight series against the top two teams in the league. Elderwood LF Jesus Lia Taawa won the game with a 2-run homer in the bottom of the 10th.
- Wight SP Ricardo Molina left tonight’s game with a forearm strain and could miss around three weeks. The Canaries beat the Spiders in the bottom of the 11th on a walk-off double by LF Don Frazier. The loss brings the Spiders into a tie with the Lakers for first place. Final/11: CAR 3, WIG 2.
- LF Jorge Akil and 1B Luis Rokodriguez each went off for 2 HRs in the Kings’ 5-3 win at the Carp. Final: LP 5, PET 3.
Sunday, 7/16/1933
- Canaries SS Mahamadou Constant hit a walk-off single in the 11th to give Carver a 5-4 win over the Spiders.
- The Lakers beat the Reapers again, 8-2. The win gives Elderwood a 1-game lead over the Spiders for first place in the NPL. The Reapers
- Kings LF Jorge Akil hit a HR and had 4 total RBI, but the Carp managed to tie it with 3 runs in the 9th and walked off in the 10th on a 2-run HR from C Juan Mosi. Final/10: PET 9, LP 7.
