Second string Taawa Jackals RB Wiley Deauda racked up 219 yards on just 10 carries, breaking the single game rushing record set by David Samaniega last week. Deauda also scored 2 TDs in Taawa’s 52-3 stomping of Platte.

Salvation Brothers FS Christopher Enriquez led the Brothers with 11 tackles and returned an interception for a touchdown in their loss to the Athletics, the lone touchdown for the Salvation team so far this season. Enriquez is now tied for the league lead in INT with 2.
Uplantic Football streams and VODs are still on hiatus while we deal with an internet connection issue here in the Earth realm. We will continue to update the blog on Monday and Thursday in the meantime.

The family of Gyles Lydon is still being held by religious extremists as we go to press this morning. The UBC has been somewhat tight-lipped about the progress of their investigation as they search for the four abductees in southern Harmony. UBC spokespeople have confirmed that the UBC has been in contact with the “Back to Light” terrorist group, and that they believe the victims remain unharmed. The family has been held captive since the evening of September 1.
With the terror kidnapping ordeal still ongoing, the UPFF once again went ahead this week with games in empty stadiums and no radio or Crystalline Casting coverage, as the terrorists have demanded a cessation of pro football broadcasting.
In a week of blowout games, the Taawa Jackals bounced back from their Week 1 loss to the Pumas with a 52-3 trouncing of the Cragsmen on Monday evening in Platte. The Elderwood Archers and Northsouth Athletics both improved to 2-0 with big wins, tied atop the Northern Conference.

Week 2 Scores:

News:
- Second string Taawa Jackals RB Wiley Deauda racked up 219 yards on just 10 carries, breaking the single game rushing record set by David Samaniega last week. Deauda also scored 2 TDs in Taawa’s 52-3 stomping of Platte.
- Taawa Jackals OT Tyrone Wib is questionable for next week’s game against Northsouth. Wib is suffering from extreme fatigue. The exact cause is currently undisclosed.
- Platte Cragsmen starting QB Alvin Crane missed a second straight game with severe migraine headaches. Backup QB Gerald Murray was not terrible, but ineffective as a replacement, unable to repeat his great week 1 performance. The Cragsmen lose 52-3 and are now 0-2 on the season. Crane expects to be recovered and ready for Week 3 against the Lia Kompos Pumas.
- Cragsmen WR Apari Najela was out this week against Taawa, and his sprained wrist will likely keep him out of action against the Pumas in Week 3. Platte SS Alan Vina remains questionable with broken ribs.
- The Northsouth Athletics beat the Salvation Brothers handily despite missing their starting QB and RB. Backup QB Sean Trask threw 3 TD on 309 yards while Jake Wood and Richard Valdekaz took up the slack at RB, combining for 132 yards rushing. The A’s beat the Brothers, 38-10. The Salvation Brothers fall to 0-2 and still have not scored a touchdown on offense.
- In addition to missing QB Branden Warren (hernia) and RB Anthony Gasporra (collarbone), the 2-0 Northsouth Athletics will likely be without WR Ilias Larue in their Week 3 match-up against Taawa. Larue suffered a dislocated shoulder this week against Salvation.
- Brothers LB Wilfred Morris left the game against Northsouth with a sprained ankle. He is expected to miss 1-2 weeks. SS Matthew Benarbia (scratched cornea) is probable to return in Week 3 against the crosstown rival Tiny Sea Titans.
