UA officials announced Monday morning that the 5th UA All-Star Game will be moved back five days, from July 21 to July 26. According to Commissioner Windsor’s office, an investigation has revealed tampering in the All-Star voting process. They’ve released a statement:
“Our private investigations team has found evidence of tampering in the All-Star voting process. While the All-Star Game is an exhibition, we will take any spoliation of our competitive mechanisms extremely seriously. At this time, we have no reason to believe that any professional team officials or personnel are involved with the vote tampering. If further investigation reveals any UA team involvement, we will act swiftly. A lifetime ban is not off the table. We will reset the All-Star vote count, starting Tuesday, July 19 and running through July 23. All-Star selections will be announced on July 24 with the game taking place on July 26.”
The UA saw three 1-hitters this week.
