Voting began this week for this year’s UA All-Star Game, to be held at Sapfoot Stadium in Taawa. Vote at your local UA stadium, or at participating picture houses around the country.
The National Professional League begins its inaugural Regular Season tomorrow! They have agreed to take a backseat to the UA in exchange for a small piece of the elder league’s national media monopoly. NPL teams are sure to be a hit in their home cities, but we have yet to see how the league will embraced on a national level.

- Deerborn RHP Roberto Tokorres strikes out 8 in 8 innings. Rivals 1B Pedro Kopano hits his 7th and 8th home runs, but the White Sox beat the Rivals on Curt Sawyer’s walk-off double in the 10th. Final: DEE 5, RAI 4. (6/24)
- Brothers LHP Jeff Walker strikes out 9 in 6.1 innings. Salvation beats Lia Kompos, 3-2. Walker leads the league with 52 Ks, 18 more than his closest competitor. (6/24)
- Stags LHP Doyle Lane wins his first start of the season, going 7.1 scoreless innings and striking out 7, as Roland shuts out Cherricaw, 2-0. This was Lane’s first appearance in a UA game since his 1928 stint with Redwood. (6/25)
- RHP Justin Russell is brilliant again for the Bears, striking out 12 batters in 8 IP. The Bears stomp the Guardians, 10-1. Platte is the first team to 20 wins. (6/25)

- Brothers SP John George leaves in the 1st inning with a sore shoulder. He had problems with shoulder inflammation during Spring Training. He awaits diagnosis. Salvation loses to Lia Kompos, 5-3 in 11 innings. (6/26)
- Last year’s Pitcher of the Year, RHP Jorge Takato, strikes out 9 in 8 IP, allowing just 1 run for the White Sox as they top the Trail Blazers in Prissley, 5-4. Prissley has lost 5 in a row. (6/28)
- Owls RF Jorge Akil hits his 11th and 12th home runs. Guardians 1B Cal Oluoch hits his 5th and 6th. Northsouth prevails over Redwood, 6-3. (6/29)
- Rivals RHP Michael Mercer strikes out 10 in 7.1 innings, but the Stags beat Railey, 2-0. Stags SP Salim Mujer leaves in the 4th inning with a “dead arm.” He missed a few weeks at the end of the 1928 season with a similar arm ailment. (6/29)
- The Bears beat the Brothers, 5-0, taking the first 2 of a 3 game series in the battle atop the West. However, Platte’s ace pitcher, Julio Martinezto, leaves in the 6th with back stiffness. He has not been placed on the IL. The Bears have won 6 in a row and are baseball’s top team at 23-4. (6/29)

- 36-year old RHP Jesus Tse signs a lucrative 2-year deal with the Spiders. Tse won the Windsor Cup with Deerborn in 1929. (6/27)
- NPL Spring Training wraps up today in Plains City. The Elderwood Lakers were the top team during exhibition games, with a record of 21-9. The Regular Season starts this Tuesday! (6/27)
