He scores 5 runs, setting the single-game record. His 5 hits also ties the single-game record. His teammate, 1B Francisco Kosgei hit 2 HR, and RF Albert Pentana hit his 23rd HR of the year. A dark moment came in the top of the 3rd when Roberto Gatalvan’s pitch hit Stags slugger Ramon Zuniga in the head. Zuniga went down and bled heavily from the nose, but got up quickly. He came out of the game, but appears to be feeling fine. (8/8)

- Brothers RF Mike Wilson walks off the Rivals with a 10th inning solo shot as the Brothers keep pace with division nemesis Northsouth for the league’s best record. Brothers SP comes out of the game in the 4th with an injury to his pitching hand, but expects to be good to go for his next start. Rivals LF Carlos Kayra came up limping while chasing down a fly ball and will miss 4 weeks with a strained hamstring. (8/9)
- Bears 1B Norm Farr will retire at the end of this year. He has had a dismal year, moving to the bench after being one of the team’s best hitters in 1928. (8/10)

- Rivals SP Alfredo Hernankez pitches 7 scoreless innings before leaving the game with recurring back tightness. The Rivals shut out the Brothers, 3-0. The loss moves Salvation back into a 3-way tie with Northsouth and Roland for the league’s best record. (8/10)
- Brothers 1B Tony Katakien comes out of the game against Prissley limping severely. The Brothers anxiously await his diagnosis, as his .321 average has been a boon to Salvation this year. The Brothers go on to win, 5-2. (8/11)
- Rivals lefty SP Jeffrey Irvin goes the distance, earning a complete game shutout of the Guardians. Rivals RF Julio Kastro hits a pair of home runs in the 4-0 win. (8/11)
- The Herders beat the Stags and the Rivals beat the Guardians today, so Salvation’s win over Prissley puts them back in the #1 spot in the UA by a single game with just over a month remaining. (8/11)
- Delle’s Antonio Teakowa started the week with back-to-back 2-HR games and hit 6 home runs total this week with 12 RBIs, but it wasn’t enough to beat the Stags’ Albert Pentana for UA Player of the Week. Pentana had 5 home runs, 13 RBIs and an impressive .625 average. He has also hit in 10 straight games. (8/12)
