  • Miners SP Mark Flower is July’s Pitcher of the Month. In 5 starts, he struck out 39 batters in 32 innings while only allowing a .145 BAA. His ERA was 1.97. (8/1)
  • White Sox LF Loris Leleu will miss the rest of the year with a torn back muscle sustained 7/29 against Northsouth. (8/2)
  • Bears 1B Norm Farr hitting streak ends at 14 games. After leaving Thursday’s game with a tight hamstring, he returns to the lineup Sunday and goes 0 for 4. (8/5)
  • Andy Thompson returns to the Brothers’ lineup, goes 0 for 2 to end hit streak at 16 games. He leaves the game after being hit in the shin by a pitch. (8/5)
